According to a study from Taiwan, "nitric oxide (NO) has been shown to inhibit migration of cells in which various matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are involved. The underlying molecular mechanisms of this inhibition remain elusive. Endothelial cells (ECs) constitutively produce MMP-2."
