CROs' IT investments increase as they strive for market differentiation

Healthy operating results and the growing need to differentiate their capabilities to deliver on-time, high-quality trials will lead contract research organizations (CROs) to increase their IT investments, according to Life Science Insights, an IDC Company.

Life Science Insights expects CROs to increase their spending on IT at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.4% over the 2003-2008 period, reaching $1.7 billion by 2008.
