Data: Provenge significantly improves survival in advanced prostate cancer

Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) announced that, as previously reported at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Prostate Cancer Symposium in February, Provenge, the company's investigational immunotherapy for the treatment of prostate cancer, significantly improved survival in men with asymptomatic, metastatic androgen-independent (hormone-refractory) prostate cancer when compared to patients receiving placebo.
