Researchers publish new studies and findings in the area of cancer vaccines

New findings from the United States and Japan describe advances in cancer vaccines. Study 1: Interleukin 4 tumor cell vaccine needs type-1 immunity for sustained efficacy. "We previously demonstrated that interleukin (IL)-4 gene-transfected glioma cell vaccines induce effective therapeutic immunity in preclinical glioma models, and have initiated phase I trials of these vaccines in patients with malignant gliomas.
