Magnesium supplementation has limited effects on muscle function

Magnesium (Mg) supplementation has limited effects on muscle function in patients with alcohol-induced hepatic disease.

Gastroenterologists in Denmark conducted a study to determine the effect of Mg supplementation "on muscle contents of Mg, muscle strength, muscle mass and sodium, potassium pumps (Na,K-pumps) in patients with alcoholic liver disease."
