Alzheimer disease rat model offers insights into biomarker identification

Samaritan Pharmaceuticals Inc. (LIV) announced that its "Alzheimer Rat Model," a tool which enables researchers to create an Alzheimer disease-like profile in rats and test new Alzheimer drugs, closely reproduces the phenotype of Alzheimer. A manuscript describing the model was published in the Journal Pharmacology (2006, vol. 76, pages 19-33).
