Basic science and medical aspects of obesity reviewed for anesthetists

Researchers review the basic science and medical aspects of obesity relevant to anesthesiologists in a recent issue of the journal Anaesthesia.

According to a study from Malaysia, "Obesity is becoming a major public health problem throughout the world. It is now the second leading cause of death in the United States and is associated with significant, potentially life-threatening comorbidities.
