E2F-HDAC complexes negatively regulate breast cancer tumor suppressor gene

According to recently published research from the United States, E2F-HDAC complexes negatively regulate the tumor suppressor gene ARHI in breast cancer.

"ARHI is a maternally imprinted tumor suppressor gene whose expression is markedly downregulated in breast cancer. Reactivation of ARHI expression in breast cancer cells is associated with increased histone H3 acetylation and decreased lysine 9 methylation of histone H3."
