Significant pain relief in children demonstrated by Corgentech's ALGRX 3268 in trial

Corgentech, Inc., (CGTK) announced that researchers presented pivotal phase III trial results from the second of 2 phase III trials demonstrating that children undergoing medical procedures requiring venipunctures and intravenous line placements treated with ALGRX 3268 experienced significantly superior pain relief in just 1-3 minutes versus those receiving placebo. Importantly, the study also showed ALGRX 3268 was well-tolerated. The dataset, from which top-line data were reported in November 2005, was presented at the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia meeting in Fort Myers, Florida.
