New Beginnings, a nationally recognized chemical dependency treatment center located in Waverly, Minnesota, in conjunction with Medica Health Plans, has developed The Clearinghouse, a treatment program that specifically addresses the devastation methamphetamine addiction causes to an individual's cognitive functioning. Continuous use of methamphetamine depletes the central nervous system of neurotransmitter chemicals needed for normal function.
