Studies from Italy and the United States advance knowledge in HIV/AIDS research

HIV/AIDS research advances have been reported from Italy and the United States.

Study 1: Coreceptor-targeted HIV entry inhibitors will bridge the gap towards a cure for HIV infection.

According to a recent review from Italy, "The unexpected encounter, 10 years ago, between human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the chemokine system has dramatically advanced our understanding of the pathogenesis of AIDS, opening new perspectives for the development of effective prophylactic and therapeutic measures."
