The group's global diagnostics manufacturing, distribution and sales business achieved record sales revenue of $17,280,000, an increase of 19% over 2005. As a result, this business segment produced record earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of $1,201,000 compared to a loss of $453,000 last year.
Growth in sales in the Australia/New Zealand region, which represented 42% of total sales, accounted for one-third of the total increase. Growth in rest of world sales accounted for the remaining two-thirds.
