Scientists at McGill University, Department of Epidemiology describe research in acute kidney failure therapy

Fresh data on acute kidney failure are presented in the report "Association of selective and conventional nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs with acute renal failure: A population-based, nested case-control analysis. Conventional nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are associated with acute renal failure, but cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors have not been comparatively evaluated. The authors conducted a nested case-control study to assess the association between exposure to NSAIDs, including cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors, and hospitalization for acute renal failure," scientists in Montreal, Canada report.
