Research from University of Ioannina, Division of Cardiology has provided new information about angiotensins

Research findings, "The role of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis and perpetuation of atrial fibrillation," are discussed in a new report. "Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia encountered in clinical practice representing a major health hazard. Owing to relative inefficacy and side effects of classic antiarrhythmic drugs, current interest has shifted to treatments that target AF substrate," scientists in Ioannina, Greece report.
