New atherosclerosis therapy research from China Pharmaceutical University outlined

Current study results from the report, "Influence of Crocetin on experimental atherosclerosis in hyperlipidamic-diet quails," have been published. "Antioxidants have been expected to have potential as antiatherogenic agents. Crocetin is a natural carotenoid antioxidant isolated from Gardenia jasminoids Ellis," scientists in Nanjing, People's Republic of China report. "Therefore, in the present study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of Crocetin on experimental atherosclerosis in quails.
