New mental health study findings recently were published by researchers at Osaka University

"It has been demonstrated that treatment of hyperactive mice with psychostimulants produced a calming effect depending on serotonergic neurotransmission. Our previous study also showed that hyperactivity in mice lacking pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) was ameliorated by amphetamine in a serotonin (5-HT)(1A)-dependent manner and that amphetamine calmed wild-type mice given the 5-HT1A agonist 8-OH-DPAT," scientists in Suita, Japan report.
