Research reports from K.B. Wang and co-authors provide new insights into cervical cancer

According to recent research from Taiwan, "A 64-year-old woman, G3P3, postmenopausal, was seen with newly diagnosed cervical cancer. She was healthy before the diagnosis, and did not have any systemic disorders in the past."

"However, the Papanicolau test and cytology were unusual. The patient had a colposcpoy with direct biopsy. The pathology showed poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. Before therapy, several methods were done in an attempt to define the stage. The MRI showed cervical cancer involving the vagina and supravaginal cervix, with parametrium invasion from the left side.
