New drug resistance findings from Wakayama Medical University, Department of Surgery published

Current study results from the report, 'Identifying molecular markers for chemosensitivity to gemcitabine in pancreatic cancer: increased expression of interferon-stimulated gene 15 kd is associated with intrinsic chemoresistance,' have been published. "Gemcitabine is the standard chemotherapeutic agent for pancreatic cancer. Nevertheless, the prognosis of pancreatic cancer patients is still poor," researchers in Wakayama, Japan report.
