New Thrombosis Study Findings Have Been Published by A. Mallik and Colleagues

2011 JAN 21 -- Scientists discuss in 'A patient with 'spontaneous' heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis after undergoing knee replacement' new findings in Thrombosis. According to a study from the United States, "Exogenous heparin exposure is the major risk factor for heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (HITT). To date, only five cases of 'spontaneous' HITT have been reported in the literature."
