Research from Mcgill University, Cancer Research Center Has Provided New Information about Aromatic Amino Acids

2011 JAN 21 -- Fresh data on Aromatic Amino Acids are presented in the report 'Inside the human cancer tyrosine phosphatome.' "Members of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (Ptp) family dephosphorylate target proteins and counter the activities of protein tyrosine kinases that are involved in cellular phosphorylation and signalling. As such, certain PTPs might be tumor suppressors," scientists in Montreal, Canada report.
