Researchers from State University of Rio of Janeiro, Institute of Biology Report Details of New Studies and Findings in the Area of Hypertension

2011 JAN 21 -- New research, 'Rosiglitazone (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma) counters hypertension and adverse cardiac and vascular remodeling in 2K1C hypertensive rats,' is the subject of a report. According to recent research from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, "Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR-gamma) agonists have been shown controlling blood pressure (BP) in spontaneously hypertensive rats and salt-sensitive hypertensive rats.
