Researchers from Joint Genome Institute Report Details of New Studies and Findings in the Area of Microbial Ecology

2011 JAN 21 -- Investigators publish new data in the report 'Multiple syntrophic interactions in a terephthalate-degrading methanogenic consortium.' According to a study from the United States, "Terephthalate (TA) is one of the top 50 chemicals produced worldwide. Its production results in a TA-containing wastewater that is treated by anaerobic processes through a poorly understood methanogenic syntrophy."
