New HIV/AIDS Research Has Been Reported by Scientists at University College Dublin

2011 SEP 16 -- Researchers detail in "Endocrine complications of human immunodeficiency virus infection: hypogonadism, bone disease and tenofovir-related toxicity," new data in HIV/AIDS. "Treatment with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) has revolutionized care of patients with HIV infection. The cost of increased survival has been antiretroviral toxicity and increasing age-related co-morbidities that include significant metabolic issues," scientists writing in the journal Best Practice & Research Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism report.
