U.K. grants patent for sensitive 'Cannabis' detection method

Cozart plc announced that the U.K. Patent Office has granted its patent for a delta-9-tetrathydrocannabinol detection method.

Delta-9-tetrathydrocannabinol (THC) is the most potent psychoactive component of the marijuana plant, Cannabis sativa, and is the marker of choice for the identification of a subject's intoxification and exposure to cannabis. As a result it is the target molecule used in areas of forensic and criminal justice testing.
