Ezetimibe with simvastatin treatment enabled more patients to reach LDL-C target

Researchers have investigated the effect of coadministering ezetimibe with on-going simvastatin treatment on LDL-C goal attainment in hypercholesterolemic patients with coronary heart disease.

Researchers in France conducted a study "to determine whether coadministering ezetimibe with on-going simvastatin treatment was more effective than placebo plus ongoing simvastatin in achieving an LDL-C treatment target of {{<=}}2.60 mmol/l (100 mg/dl) in hypercholesterolemic patients with coronary heart disease (CHD)."
