Oral interferon provided for M.D. Anderson clinical trial in patients with bone marrow disorders

Amarillo Biosciences, Inc., (ABI, AMAR) announced that a study to test low dose oral interferon alpha in 40 patients with rare bone marrow proliferative disorders is now open to enrollment. Amarillo Biosciences filed the Investigational New Drug Application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and, in conjunction with principal investigator Srdan Verstovsek, MD, PhD, assistant professor, Myeloproliferative Disorders Program Leader, University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, helped to develop the protocol for the clinical trial.
