U.S. DoD gives notice of intent to purchase human vaccina immune globulin

Cangene announced that the United States Department of Defense (DoD) has published its intention to purchase a supply of Vaccinia Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human) (VIG) from Cangene Corporation. In a presolicitation notice, the DoD indicated that it intends to procure the product from Cangene on a sole-source basis. Cangene has a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-licensed VIG product and the manufacturing capability to maintain the DoD's total stockpile requirement.
