Isatoribine lowers plasma hepatitis C RNA in chronically infected patients. "Immune-based therapy is the mainstay treatment for chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection but causes multiple side effects and achieves durable viral clearance in only approximately 50% of patients.
