Directors selected to lead CalRHIO; Jo Ellen Hylind Ross appointed chair

The California Regional Health Information Organization (CalRHIO) statewide planning committee has elected its first board of directors; Jo Ellen Hylind Ross, president and CEO of Lumetra, was named board chair.

The board will lead CalRHIO as it becomes an independent, nonprofit organization in early 2006. CalRHIO was organized in early 2005 as a statewide umbrella organization to support the secure exchange of healthcare information across California and promote adoption of health information technology. It has operated under the auspices of The Health Technology Center, led by Molly Coye, MD.
