Data from preclinical evaluation of PT-15 for obesity treatment presented

Palatin Technologies, Inc., (PTN) announced the presentation of data from preclinical studies of PT-15, the company's novel, small molecule, melanocortin receptor subtype-4 (MC4R) selective agonist that is in development for the treatment of obesity.

Administration of PT-15 results in a decrease in food intake that is associated with a significant reduction in body weight and improvement in metabolic parameters in rodent models of obesity. The data will be presented at the 4th International Metabolic Diseases Drug Discovery World Summit in La Jolla, California.
