Early prevention of weight gain offers best solution

That's the assessment of a scientific statement of the American Heart Association published in Circulation.
"Our nation needs immediate action to prevent excess weight gain in all our children and to treat children and adolescents who are already overweight or at risk of developing obesity," said the statement's lead author Stephen R. Daniels, MD, PhD, professor of pediatrics and environmental health at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
