Increased depression incidence linked to increased prevalence of obesity

An increase in the incidence of depression is linked to an increased prevalence of obesity.

According to a recent review published in the American Journal of the Medical Sciences, "This paper provides an overview of the evidence on the current epidemic of obesity in the United States. The prevalence of overweight and obesity now exceeds 60% among U.S. adults, and the rate is rapidly increasing among children and adolescents."
