Study 1: Coronary risk in women with polycystic ovary syndrome may be related to insulin resistance.
According to a report from Australia, "The new millennium has brought intense focus of interest on the risk of cardiovascular disease in women. The polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder in women characterized by hyperandrogenism and oligomenorrhoea."
