Study 1: Type 2 diabetic obese model did not show an impaired metabolic response to the stress of injury.
"The metabolic and endocrine disturbances associated with obesity and type 2 diabetes may impair the normal metabolic response to injury. Our objective was to investigate amino acid metabolism in endotoxemic type 2 diabetic obese rats," investigators in France report.
