Current study results from the report, 'Increased leptin expression selectively in the hypothalamus suppresses inflammatory markers CRP and IL-6 in leptin-deficient diabetic obese mice,' have been published. According to a study from the United States, "Low-grade systemic inflammation, as indicated by increased circulating levels of inflammatory markers CRP and IL-6, is linked to increased risks for cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and diabetes mellitus in obese subjects.
