CRO finalizes agreement for $9.7 million of new business

Covalent Group, Inc., (CVGR) announced that it has executed definitive contract documents for its previously announced $9.7 million award with a major biopharmaceutical company to provide full-service management and operational support of a clinical research program that includes an interventional trial and a patient disease registry. The effective start date of the definitive agreement was June 30, 2004. Previously, Covalent was awarded a $2.0 million contract for initial services supporting this program.
