FDA advisory panel recommends licensure of ADACEL vaccine

sanofi pasteur, the vaccines business of the sanofi-aventis Group (SNY), announced that the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) voted unanimously to recommend licensure of ADACEL (Tetanus Toxoid and Reduced Diphtheria Toxoid and Acellular Pertussis Vaccine Adsorbed) Vaccine for protection against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis in adolescents and adults aged 11-64 years.
