Cancer incidence in patients with systemic sclerosis was higher than in the general population

Cancer incidence in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) was higher when compared to the general population.

Researchers in the United States conducted a study "to describe the incidence of cancer in a large cohort of patients with SSc and compare it to the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) cancer registries. Cancer risk in a large cohort of patients with SSc followed at our institution was assessed."
