Gastric cancer risk linked to cyclooxygenase-2 polymorphisms in a Chinese population

The risk of developing gastric cancer (GC) was linked to genetic variants in cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in a Chinese population. Researchers in the People's Republic of China conducted a study "to screen the genetic variants in COX-2, and evaluate their effects on COX-2 expression and risk of GC and its precursors, a population-based study was conducted in Linqu County, Shangdong Province, an area of China, a high-risk area of GC.
