Researchers from Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Department of General Surgery publish new studies and findings in the area of appendicitis

Researchers detail in "Stump resections resulting from incomplete operations," new data in appendicitis. According to a study from Ankara, Turkey, "Stump viscera caused by an incomplete operation can present the same symptoms as before the first operation. Furthermore, as an acute clinical event, these incomplete resections may sometimes cause acute abdomen and may need emergency surgical intervention."
