New findings from National Taiwan University in the area of hepatitis B virus published

According to recent research from Taipei, Taiwan, "Chronic viral infections such as human immunodeficiency virus and hepatitis C virus (HCV) may decrease tissue response to insulin, thereby causing insulin resistance. In addition, insulin resistance is associated with hepatic steatosis."
