According to a study from Caceres, Spain, "Our aim was to study the physiological repercussions of varying ischemic times during laparoscopic aortic surgery. After quarantine, laparoscopy was performed in 24 healthy pigs, which were randomly allocated to four study groups: group I (n = 6), laparoscopic infrarenal abdominal aortic surgery with 30 min of crossclamping; group II (n = 6), laparoscopic infrarenal abdominal aortic surgery with 60 min of cross-clamping; group III (n = 6), laparoscopic infrarenal abdominal aortic surgery with 120 min of cross-clamping; group IV (n = 6), 120 min pneumoperitoneum in the absence of aortic cross-clamping (control group)." ...
