New research on constipation from B.E. Lacy and co-authors summarized

According to a study from Lebanon, "Chronic constipation is a frequently reported medical disorder that reduces patients' quality of life and imposes a significant economic burden on the health core system. Symptoms of constipation ore diverse and include infrequent bowel movements, hard stool, straining at stool, sensations of onorectal obstruction and feelings of incomplete evacuation."
