Findings from Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, Department of Surgery provide new insights into colorectal research

New research, 'A clinicopathologic analysis of peritoneal metastases of colorectal and appendiceal origin,' is the subject of a report. According to recent research from Amsterdam, Netherlands, "To predict clinical outcome by classification of peritoneal metastases (PM) of colorectal or appendiceal origin. This study investigates whether standardized histological classification can predict outcome for PM of colorectal or appendiceal origin treated with cytoreduction and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC)."
