Studies from Fujian Medical University Update Current Data on Hepatomas

2012 MAR 26 -- Research findings, "Anti-proliferative effects of cucurmosin on human hepatoma HepG2 cells," are discussed in a new report. "We extracted cucurmosin (CUS) from the sarcocarp of Cucrubita moschata (pumpkin). Recently, a number of studies have indicated that CUS has cytotoxic properties and induces apoptosis in a number of human tumor cells," scientists in Fujian, People's Republic of China report.
