Anti-Id MAbs Identify Neutralizing Anti-gp120 in HIV+

Anti-idiotype monoclonal antibodies (anti-Id MAbs) may identify and measure neutralizing anti-gp120 antibodies of defined specificity in the sera of HIV positive persons.

In previous studies researcher Kandasamy Hariharan and colleagues demonstrated that different anti-gp120 antibodies bearing unique idiotypes (ID+ Abs) isolated by a panel of anti-Id MAbs exhibit unique epitope specificity and neutralizing activity.
