System Offers Model for Study of Neutrophil-Specific Gene Expression

Researchers reported on a system that they believe will offer an important model for the study of neutrophil-specific gene expression.

The understanding of hematopoiesis recently has been furthered by the identification of antigens that characterize human primitive hematopoietic progenitor cells in addition to the continued identification of hematopoietic growth factors that enhance the proliferation and maturation in vivo of human primitive hematopoietic progenitor cells, the researchers noted.
