According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 31st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, held May 20-23, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, "Gene therapy provides a novel approach to increase tumor cell recognition by the immune system through the introduction of immunogenic gene products. We report here the combined experience from Phase I trials involving intralesional injections of Allovectin-7 in patients with metastatic melanoma, renal cell or colorectal carcinoma.
