Inherited Genes Play Major Role in High Levels of Cholesterol

Dr. Robert Hegele, Research Investigator with the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, St. Michael's Hospital, and associate professor at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, along with his research team, have discovered not one, but multiple, inherited genes that work together to contribute to high levels of cholesterol resulting in a high risk of heart disease.
