"Immunotoxin Therapy of Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC): Clinical Trials of N901-Blocked Ricin (N901-bR)."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 31st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, held May 20-23, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, "N901-bR is an immunotoxin comprised of the N901 murine monoclonal antibody (IgG) which recognizes the NKH1 antigen (anti-NCAM, CD56) conjugated to blocked whole ricin. Preclinical studies showed binding of N901-bR to SCLC lines, nerve, skeletal and cardiac muscle. 30 patients (pts) with SCLC were treated with N901-bR by 7 day infusion. Phase I evaluation (21 pts) in relapsed SCLC found a DLT of capillary leak syndrome at the dose of 40 ucg/kg lean body weight (lbw)/dx7d. Serum levels (550 pM) at the MTD (30 ucg/kg...
